Following medical school, Dr. Eyerman pursued a transitional internship at the Washington University/B-JH/SLCH Consortium from 1974 to 1975 and subsequently completed a fellowship in emergency room psychiatry at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health in 1975. He finalized his training with a psychiatry residency at Washington University/B-JH/SLCH Consortium, which he completed in 1978.

Dr. Eyerman is a distinguished Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. He actively engages with the medical community as a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Northern California Psychiatric Society. Additionally, he holds the esteemed title of Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, reflecting his commitment and contributions to the field.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Eyerman serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Touro University. He is also a Staff Psychiatrist at Napa State Hospital and Canyon Manor in Novato and serves as a Psychopharmacology Advisor to the California Department of State Hospitals.
