He honed his skills in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at the Texas Heart Institute, where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Diez has held significant academic roles, including director of invasive cardiology at the Baylor Heart Clinic and director of clinical and interventional research at Tulane University School of Medicine.
Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Diez is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions, and he actively participates in several professional organizations, including the Texas Heart Institute Cardiac Society, the AHA Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology Council, the American College of Physicians, and the National Marfan Foundation.
