A Certified Dialysis Nurse with extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis, Margaret exemplifies the commitment to patient care that the Daisy Foundation seeks to honor.
Currently serving at Randolph Health in Asheboro, North Carolina, Margaret has made significant contributions to the field of nursing, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and a strong dedication to her patients. Her nomination for the Daisy Award highlights her unwavering commitment to providing compassionate care and advocating for her patients’ needs.
Margaret began her nursing journey after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Randolph Community College in 1999. She continuously pursued higher education, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from Kaplan/Purdue University in 2015, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2019. In 2021, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing Education, further solidifying her expertise in nursing education and patient care.
Before joining Randolph Health, Margaret served as a staff educator at Fresenius Medical Care, where she played a pivotal role in training and mentoring new nurses. Her passion for education and professional development is reflected in her active membership in several notable organizations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the American Nephrology Nurses Association, the American Holistic Nurses Association, the North Carolina Nurses Association, and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Margaret attributes her success to her openness to learning from diverse sources and her belief that every team member has valuable insights to contribute. “In healthcare, collaboration is key. I strive to create an environment where all voices are heard, and together, we can provide the best possible care for our patients,” she says.
