Ascension Medical Group Wisconsin is pleased to announce that Katherine Hartstern, MD, a board-certified family physician, has joined their practice located on Koeller Street in Oshkosh. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a focus on individualized care and preventive medicine.
Dr. Hartstern is affiliated with notable hospitals within the Ascension network, including Ascension Calumet Hospital, Ascension NE Wisconsin – Mercy Campus, and Ascension NE Wisconsin – St. Elizabeth Campus. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of services, including treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, preventive health screenings, routine check-ups, and vaccinations. Additionally, Dr. Hartstern has a keen interest in pediatrics, women’s health, LGBT health, preventative medicine, diabetes management, and various in-office procedures.

A Wisconsin native, Dr. Hartstern earned her undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biology before graduating with her Medical Degree from Chicago Medical School – Rosalind Franklin University of Medical and Science in 2020. She completed her residency in family medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, graduating in 2023, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Hartstern enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, bird-watching, gardening, playing the cello, and engaging in puzzles and board games.
