With a profound commitment to patient care and a wealth of knowledge in managing critically ill patients, Logan exemplifies the highest standards of nursing practice in the field.

As a dedicated medical and cardiovascular ICU nurse, Logan plays a vital role in caring for patients facing life-threatening conditions such as cardiogenic shock, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis. His expertise extends to operating and monitoring advanced life-saving technologies, including intra-aortic balloon pumps and continuous renal replacement therapies, which are crucial for stabilizing patients during their most critical moments. Logan’s responsibilities include assessing and evaluating patient conditions, providing critical and emergency care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to formulate a comprehensive plan of care, managing and operating heart monitors and equipment, as well as providing emotional support to families during their most vulnerable moments. His unwavering dedication to continuous nursing education and personal excellence underlines his exceptional capabilities in a demanding healthcare environment.

Logan’s journey into science and education began at Damien High School where he took several AP classes and fell in love with academia and decided to pursue the health professions. In pursuit of academic rigor, he took a broad range of elective courses ranging from Neuroanatomy to Stem Cell Biology eventually earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California, Riverside in 2016. Through a combination of deep personal reflection and life experiences, Logan embarked on his nursing career by working his way up from a certified nursing assistant to a licensed vocational and then a registered nurse from Citrus College in 2020. His commitment to life-long education in the nursing field led him to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, in 2021.

An active member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Nurses Association, Logan’s professional affiliations reflect his dedication to the nursing profession. He attributes much of his success to the unwavering support and guidance he has received throughout his career. “My personal mentors, coaches, and professors showed me through their own personal examples what commitment to continuous personal development looked like. This inspired me to develop and grow into my new and evolving identity of becoming the best person I can possibly be,” Logan shared. “They taught me to approach every challenge with maturity and authenticity, and their encouragement set the foundation for my growth.”

Logan also highlights the importance of practicing self-care to maintain a balance of emotional and spiritual wellness. This has helped me navigate the emotional, moral, and spiritual complexities of working in the ICU,” he explained. The kindness and support of his significant other, friends, and family help remind him of why he became a nurse in the first place: to always be of service to others and to show them the same love and care that he has been shown.

Outside of his demanding nursing role, Logan enjoys weightlifting and bodybuilding, reading, and listening to podcasts focused on entrepreneurship, fitness, and personal development. His passion for learning new skills and seeking new challenges reflects his commitment to lifelong growth, both personally and professionally.

Logan Clase stands as a testament to the compassionate and skilled nurses who are the backbone of healthcare. Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo is proud to have him as part of its team, where he continues to make a significant impact on the lives of his patients and the community.
