Born and raised in the Bronx, Dr. Rodriguez completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard College before earning his medical degree from the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has also held the position of Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Hofstra School of Medicine, demonstrating his commitment to educating the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Rodriguez has received numerous accolades, including the James Rand Award for Outstanding Paper in Knee Surgery and the Maurice Cowan Award for Excellence in Medical Education. His dedication to mentorship was further recognized with the Chitranjan S. Ranawat Mentorship Award.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Rodriguez is a prolific researcher with 73 peer-reviewed publications and several ongoing studies in hip and knee surgery. Dr. Rodriguez’s commitment goes beyond the operating room; he is a retired Major in the US Army Reserve, having honorably served two tours in Iraq. His military service reflects the same dedication he brings to his patients and the medical field.
