Laura began her journey in healthcare at Mount Saint Mary Academy, where she laid the foundation for her future in nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in 1999 before completing her Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia at Columbia University School of Nursing. Her dedication to lifelong learning led her to obtain a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia in 2010 and an MBA from Cornell University in 2024, further solidifying her expertise in both clinical and healthcare leadership.

As a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the New York Academy of Medicine both of which she was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the New York State Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Laura remains at the forefront of advancements in anesthesia and healthcare. Her dedication to evidence-based practice ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care, while her leadership fosters a collaborative and supportive environment among her peers.

In her role at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Laura specializes in anesthesiology and leadership, focusing on creating a supportive environment for patients undergoing treatment and also for the large team of advanced practice nurses she leads. Her dedication is evident in her daily work, where she not only administers anesthesia but also oversees a team of professionals who care for 65,000 patients annually.
