From a young age, Dr. Edwards-Carolina’s passion for healthcare was evident. “As I matured, my fascination with the human body and its intricate design transcended everything else,” she recalls. This lifelong interest has driven her to build meaningful relationships with her patients, which she considers the most rewarding aspect of her profession. “I find joy in striving to make sure my patients feel loved, heard, and appreciated while receiving efficient and effective healthcare,” she adds.
Dr. Edwards-Carolina’s connection with the senior population is deeply personal, stemming from the cherished relationships she had with her grandparents. This bond fuels her advocacy for seniors, as she understands the unique challenges they face and the importance of compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Dr. Edwards-Carolina’s impressive credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine (2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University (2013). She completed her fellowship in Geriatrics at Emory University School of Medicine in 2022 and holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, including specialization in Geriatric Medicine. Additionally, she is certified in NIHHS, ACLS/BLS for Healthcare Providers, and NYC Infection Control.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Edwards-Carolina is passionate about cooking and cherishes moments spent with family and friends. A unique hobby of hers is cutting hair, which she enjoys as a creative outlet.
