As the Owner of OnSite Advanced Care—the largest mobile wound care provider in the state—Dr. Tettelbach is dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients suffering from non-healing wounds, particularly among the aging population. His extensive qualifications, including board certifications in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Internal Medicine, along with his formal training in Biomedical Informatics and an academic appointment at Duke University School of Medicine, uniquely position him to lead in this critical area of healthcare.
OnSite Advanced Care specializes in providing comprehensive wound management services that address the complex needs of patients with diabetes, immobilization, and circulatory issues. The collaborative efforts of skilled healthcare professionals ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care, whether in skilled nursing facilities or the comfort of their own homes.
“Empowering patients through education and support is at the forefront of our mission,” Dr. Tettelbach states. “We believe that informed patients are more likely to engage in their own healing process, leading to better outcomes and improved quality of life.”
Dr. Tettelbach’s leadership extends beyond his practice at OnSite Advanced Care. His career has been marked by significant contributions to healthcare technology and infection prevention. From 2000 to 2003, he served as Medical Director for TheraDoc, where he played a key role in developing innovative electronic clinical surveillance tools that are now utilized in over 2,000 hospitals across the United States. These tools—including the “Antibiotic Assistant”, “Infection Control Assistant”, and “Adverse Drug Event Assistant”—have significantly enhanced patient safety and care quality.
In 2003, Dr. Tettelbach became the acting Medical Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, where he also served as Chief of Staff for the Methodist Extended Care Hospital. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the development of a sepsis alert module that has since been implemented in over 550 hospitals, showcasing his commitment to advancing clinical outcomes.
In 2010, Dr. Tettelbach joined Intermountain Healthcare, where he led the establishment of a comprehensive wound care program that included a Hyperbaric and Wound Care Service Line and a Hyperbaric Medicine Fellowship in collaboration with Duke University School of Medicine. His efforts to incorporate evidence-based practices into advanced wound healing therapies have significantly impacted patient care.
As the national principal investigator for a multicenter randomized controlled trial on the efficacy of dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane (dHACM) allograft for diabetic foot ulcers, Dr. Tettelbach has contributed to groundbreaking research that is shaping the future of wound care. In 2014, he became the Medical Director of Infection Prevention, Antibiotic Stewardship, and Wound Care at Landmark Hospital, where he implemented infection prevention policies that led to the lowest hospital-acquired infection rates among long-term acute care facilities in Utah.
Dr. Tettelbach is also an active member of numerous professional societies and has co-authored various research articles and book chapters. He is recognized both domestically and internationally as a leader in wound care, evidenced by his patent holdings and multiple awards from the JWC World Union of Wound Healing Societies.
In September 2023, Dr. Tettelbach was appointed Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of RestorixHealth, where he oversees the administrative and clinical aspects of over 270 hospital-affiliated outpatient centers dedicated to wound care and hyperbaric medicine. His commitment to excellence in these areas aligns with RestorixHealth’s mission to provide comprehensive wound care solutions that improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
“RestorixHealth is committed to innovating wound care practices and ensuring that patients have access to the best possible treatments,” Dr. Tettelbach explains. “Our goal is to reduce hospital admissions, lower care costs, and most importantly, enhance the quality of life for our patients.”
