Bradford Family Chiropractic is proud to have Dr. Ian Calk, a dedicated and skilled chiropractor, among its team of 4 doctors. Having completed a comprehensive six-month internship under the esteemed mentorship of Dr. Gaskey and Dr. Purvis, Dr. Calk brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for patient care to our practice.
Dr. Calk earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) from Life University in Marietta, GA, after a solid foundation in the sciences at the University of South Carolina, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. His academic achievements, combined with his practical experience, make him a valuable asset to Bradford Family Chiropractic and our mission to provide top-tier chiropractic care.
With a strong focus on treating sports-related traumas and disc and spine injuries, Dr. Calk utilizes advanced techniques to enhance recovery and improve overall health. His introduction to chiropractic was working under a doctor who specialized in non-surgical disc herniation rehabilitation. This technique is what convinced him to attend chiropractic school, where he then discovered his interest in the athletic side of care.
In addition to his proficiency in spinal health, Dr. Calk is well-versed in sports rehabilitation, corrective exercises, and physical therapy. His diverse training in other modalities, such as pin and stretch techniques and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM allows him to tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring optimal recovery and wellness.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Calk is also a passionate musician and filmmaker. He enjoys directing short films and music videos around the Atlanta area as well as being the touring guitarist and backup vocalist for pop artist Alto Moon. Currently residing in East Cobb, Dr. Calk is excited and grateful to be an integral part of the Bradford community.
