Dr. Haque’s journey in medicine began in India, where he completed his medical education before advancing his studies in neurology and psychiatry at the prestigious Institute of Neurology in London, England. His international experience expanded as he practiced in various hospitals across England, Scotland, and Ireland, honing his skills and expertise in diverse settings.
In pursuit of further knowledge, Dr. Haque relocated to Houston, Texas, where he earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Houston. His dedication to excellence continued at New York Medical College, where he completed his residency in neurology and psychiatry. Dr. Haque’s commitment to his studies was recognized with an award for academic excellence in his final year.
Following his residency, Dr. Haque completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Montefiore Hospital in New York City. He has since accumulated extensive experience in various psychiatric environments, including state hospitals, general hospitals, and maximum-security facilities. Notably, he was instrumental in establishing the behavioral health unit at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, where he served as the head of the psychiatry department for over 15 years.
