AprilMae McFarland Appointed Clinical Nurse Manager at OhioHealth in Reynoldsburg, Ohio

OhioHealth is proud to announce the promotion of AprilMae McFarland, BSN, to the position of Clinical Nurse Manager at its Reynoldsburg facility. With a distinguished career spanning more than 15 years in the healthcare industry, McFarland’s appointment reflects her unwavering commitment to patient care and nursing leadership. 

McFarland’s journey with OhioHealth began in 2017 as a Staff Nurse. Her dedication and expertise led to successive roles as Charge Nurse in 2018 and Clinical Lead in 2020. In December 2023, she assumed the role of Clinical Nurse Manager, where she now oversees nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the implementation of best practices across departments. 

Before her tenure at OhioHealth, McFarland gained valuable experience as a Medical Assistant, Surgical Assistant, and Histotechnician at the Ohio Skin Cancer Institute from 2012 to 2016. She also served as a Home Health Aide at Altimate Care Inc., providing compassionate care to patients in their homes. 

McFarland holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate’s Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Her educational background, combined with her extensive hands-on experience, equips her with the skills necessary to lead and mentor nursing staff effectively. 

In her new role, McFarland is committed to fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, staff development, and operational efficiency. Her leadership is expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance the overall patient experience at OhioHealth Reynoldsburg.
