Dr. Lee C. Drinkard, MD, FACP, Joins Texas Oncology–Irvin, Bringing Over Three Decades of Expertise in Hematology-Oncology
A board-certified specialist will expand access to cutting-edge cancer and blood disorder treatments in Irving and the Dallas–Fort Worth region
Texas Oncology–Irving proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Lee C. Drinkard, MD, FACP, a seasoned hematologist-oncologist with over 38 years of experience, to its Irving office. Dr. Drinkard brings extensive expertise in managing complex blood disorders and cancer types such as lung, breast, colon, and hematologic malignancies, significantly bolstering the oncology services available to North Texas patients.
A graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Drinkard completed his internal medicine residency at George Washington University, followed by a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Chicago. He is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Drinkard’s arrival comes after a distinguished career spanning academic centers and community oncology clinics across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Las Colinas Cancer Center, Southlake, Lewisville/Flower Mound, and Grapevine. He has served on clinical faculty at UT Southwestern, participated in numerous national clinical trials, and has authored multiple publications in oncology, bringing both depth and breadth to his new role at Texas Oncology–Irving.
