Hawley Jennifer Campbell, a Dual Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner working in Telehealth: Helping to Bridge the Gap of Mental Health Care
Hawley is a Telepsychiatric Nurse Practitioner: Leading the Charge for Accessible Mental Health Solutions in Miami, Florida, and Washington, D.C.
Hawley Campbell, D.C.Hawley Campbell APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, FNP-C, RN, MSN, has dedicated two and a half decades to caring for others. Her motivation is simple and deeply personal: she founded HC Mental Health & Wellness to provide the accessible, warm support her own family struggled to find while dealing with mental health challenges.
Hawley’s extensive background began with her Nursing Diploma from Humber College, followed by an Obstetrics Certificate from Sheridan College. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She then pursued advanced practice, earning a Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Barry University and, most recently, her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP) from Florida State University.
Hawley began her career outside a suburb of Toronto, building her skills through specific, hands-on experience. Her earliest roles included her time with the Victoria Order of Nurses, providing essential home care nursing and public health vaccination programs with the Region of Peel. Following this, she was a highly well-rounded obstetrics nurse, serving in every OB/GYN role—from scrubbing and circulating in the OR (including gynecology cases), to managing antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Triage/Recovery Room, and helping new mothers and providing care in the Neonatal Nursery and postpartum care. She gained experience working courageously through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, briefly worked as an RN in the Emergency Room, and actively worked as a nurse practitioner to meet public health needs (including PrEP/PEP) for those experiencing homelessness. Additionally, she focused on preventative care, performing Pap smears and ordering mammograms for underserved migrants from Guatemala.
The Vision of HC Mental Health & Wellness
Hawley brings this vast, real-world experience and personal empathy to her specialized PMHNP practice. HC Mental Health & Wellness is dedicated to fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel seen and empowered. She focuses on complex needs like anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and perinatal mental health. She extends this commitment by volunteering with CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and Postpartum Support International (PSI). Additionally, she writes blogs under the tag “HC Telepsych NP” (Hawley Campbell TelePsychiatric Nurse Practitioner) on her website, hawleycampbellwellness.com, as part of her mission to educate the public about mental health and help reduce stigma.
As a partner and parent of two children, Hawley understands the struggles of everyday life. She keeps her spirit strong outside her telehealth practice through yoga, cycling, travel, and time spent with her two playful doodles. Hawley believes everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and connected on their journey toward healing.
