Scott O. Johnson, MD, FACS, is a highly experienced, board-certified general surgeon with more than 25 years of clinical, operational, and leadership experience specializing in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic-assisted procedures, and endoscopy. Affiliated with AdventHealth in Florida, Dr. Johnson provides minimally invasive surgical care for adult patients through AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Winter Haven and AdventHealth Medical Group General Surgery at Lake Wales.
Throughout his career, Dr. Johnson has built a reputation for delivering patient-centered care focused on precision, innovation, and improved recovery outcomes. His expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques allows patients to benefit from reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster healing times while maintaining the highest standards of safety and surgical excellence.
Dr. Johnson earned his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency through Mount Carmel Health. He is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Johnson has served in numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including surgical leader, robotic surgery chair, and clinical educator. Outside of medicine, Dr. Johnson enjoys swimming, scuba diving, boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles, activities that reflect his appreciation for balance, adventure, and lifelong learning both personally and professionally.
