Most recently, Dr. Sapadin edited a theme issue for the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine that is entirely devoted to Dermatology.
Dr. Sapadin graduated summa cum laude with his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University in New York. Furthering his education, he graduated with his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1988, giving him over three decades of experience in his field.
After obtaining his medical degree, he completed his dermatology residency at Mount Sinai as well and was chief resident in his last year of training. While a resident he earned many awards, including election to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. n his third year of residency Dr. Sapadin was chosen by the American Academy of Dermatology to represent the United States at the annual British Association of Dermatologists meeting.
Dr. Sapadin is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. The American Board of Dermatology exists to serve the public by setting high standards for dermatologists to earn and maintain Board certification. The American Board of Dermatology is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology. The objective of all of its activities is to provide assurance that a diplomate of the Board possesses and maintains the knowledge and skills essential for the provision of superior, specialized care to patients with cutaneous diseases.
