She has been awarded the Nurse Excellence Award from Abington Hospital In 2014; the Abington, Patient Safety Award In 2017; and the Leadership of the Year 2017-2018 from the National Association of Professional Women.
Shireeta chose a career in nursing as she was inspired by her brother who has autism and also a rare skin disease and because there was so little her parents could do back in the day to help him she wanted to make a difference. She feels she was lead to be a nurse and with her compassion, she is kind to her patients and always puts them first and everything else is secondary.
