Dr. Andrew Loucopoulos is a dual certified Endocrinology & Reproductive Fertility Specialist currently practicing with his private practice. Dr. Andrew Loucopoulos founded his practice with the goal of establishing a comprehensive center to care for the specialized needs of women. Over the years he has continued to stress the highest degree of medical excellence, a conservative approach to treatment, and a concerned and caring attitude.
Since 1982, he has been a full-time faculty member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia Presbyterian (one of the first IVF centers in the USA), where later he was named Associate Professor in Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. Currently, he devotes his time to practicing reproductive endocrinology and gynecology.
Dr. Loucopoulos attended college in Greece and received his medical degree and doctorate from Athens University Medical School. He fulfilled an initial residency training at Alexandra Maternity Hospital in Athens, Greece and completed a second residency program at New York State University, Downstate Medical Center. He was also a research fellow at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He was awarded a fellowship at Columbia University in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Loucopoulos is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Their mission is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Hellenic Medical Society, Endocrine Society, and the Royal Society of Medicine. Additionally, he has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
