Featuring over five decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in psychological assessments, neuropsychological evaluations, and individual, marital and family psychotherapy. Dr. Barnard also serves as an Adjunct Professor to the Psy.D Clinical Psychology Program with Antioch University in Seattle.
Dr. Barnard attended the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating with his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology. Thereafter, he remained within the same educational venue, acquiring his PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1963. Following the completion of his doctorate, Dr. Barnard earned his Certificate in Community Psychiatry and undertook his fellowship with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Moreover, he undertook further training with Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Dr. Barnard has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the Academy of Learning and Developmental Disorders.
To stay current with the latest developments and guidelines in his field, Dr. Barnard remains a distinguished member of the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the Washington State Psychological Association, the American College of Forensic Psychology, and the Coalition of Clinical Practitioners in Neuropsychology. He is dedicated to delivering high quality and compassionate care, and is passionate about enhancing his patients’ quality of life. Dr. Barnard attributes his success to his hard work, desire to care for people, and love for what he does. In his free time, he enjoys spending his weekends at his cabin on the lake with his wife.
