Dr. Chow received his undergraduate education from Princeton University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and his postgraduate medical training at Harvard Medical School hospitals. Dr. Chow completed his fellowship in cardiology and electrophysiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) where he was the De Sanctis Clinical Scholar.
Upon completion of training, Dr. Chow was a partner in a large midwest private practice cardiology group for 10 years before moving to the San Jose area, where he is the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Regional Medical Center in San Jose. Dr. Chow was also a physician at the Stanford Healthcare from 2012 to 2017.
Dr. Chow has vast experience in general cardiology, and has sub-specialty expertise in heart rhythm disorders, EP procedures, and cardiac device implantation. He is also board-certified in cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Dr. Chow has many publications regarding sudden cardiac arrest prevention, ICD therapy, and microvolt T-wave alternans. He has also received a number of research awards.
