Dr. Frederick Ntum Lobati is a highly trained and qualified internal medicine physician with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially infectious disease and primary care medicine. Dr. Lobati has been in practice for more than 28 years and is currently serving patients as a Hospitalist within COX South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He also served for 2 years until June 2016 as part time Hospitalist at the Golden Valley Community Hospital in Clinton, Missouri and Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
Dr. Lobati graduated with his Medical Degree in 1988 from the University of Cologne. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Lobati completed his Internal Medicine internship, Internal Medicine residency, and Infectious Disease fellowship at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine affiliated hospitals Truman Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Lobati is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians. To keep up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Lobati maintains professional memberships with the American College of Physicians, the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American Medical Association, the Missouri State Medical Association, the Boone County Medical Society, and is an affiliate member of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr. Lobati is a Preceptor for Medical Students in their Ambulatory Clinical Experience, and participates in the University of Missouri Bryant Scholars Shadowing Program, among several other faculty appointments. Dr. Lobati conducts medical missions in Africa, helping the less fortunate. He published an article in the European Journal on the topic of infectious disease, and for his excellence, Dr. Lobati is the recipient of several Physician Recognition Awards granted by the American Medical Association. He attributes his success to his faith in God, and to the support of his family and friends. When he is not assisting his patients, Dr. Lobati enjoys missionary work, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.
