After an internship and residency at the University of Colorado, Dr. Sandberg completed a fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University.
Dr. Sandberg is one of the most experienced internists in the United States, and he diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions for patients of all ages. He is especially known, however, as an expert cardiologist and is also an acclaimed addiction medicine specialist who has a wealth of experience in helping patients overcome substance abuse issues.
Dr. Sandberg currently serves as Medical Director of the Marin Treatment Center, and he is always happy to help and advise colleagues less experienced than himself.
