Dr. Khan completed his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University. He then completed his Medical Degree in 2001. He then completed his Family Medicine residency with Charleston Area Medical Center. This was followed by a one year fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the same medical facility. Dr. Khan worked in Emergency Medicine for several years, and established three successful urgent care centers, most recently at West Virginia University. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Formerly an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University, Dr. Yusuf Khan is the proud owner and physician of Ashburn Family Medicine.

Family medicine is the medical specialty which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It is a specialty in breadth that integrates the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences.
