Interventional cardiologist Dr. Ben-Dor has advanced specialized training in the treatment and management of cardiovascular disease. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is also an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center, whose Georgetown’s MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute recently named him Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Faculty Educator of the Year.
Dr. Ben-Dor currently practices medicine at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, where he is part of a medical team uniquely qualified to treat coronary and structural heart disease. As a heart disease specialist, he is highly skilled in the whole range of cardiological therapies. His clinical interests include treating patients with coronary disease and valvular heart disease, as well as those with acute heart problems.
Dr. Ben-Dor received his Medical Degree cum laude in 2001 from the prestigious Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He has completed medical internships and residencies in both Israel and the United States, most recently completing a MedStar Washington Hospital Center fellowship in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. A researcher as well as a clinician, Dr. Ben-Dor has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is currently exploring the efficacy and clinical outcomes of transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and intravascular ultrasound and coronary physiology. Dr. Ben-Dor is a member and fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
