Alexandra’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1990 when she graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. After residency she completed her fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Alexandra J. Lansky is a highly experienced physician who has been in practice for more than two decades. Dr. Lansky is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and she diagnoses and treats a wide range of heart related conditions. Dr. Lansky has led over 500 clinical trials in a broad range of ischemic cardiovascular therapeutic areas, including pharmacologic and interventional device trials, and is the author of hundreds of peer-reviewed manuscripts in the fields of interventional cardiology, angiography, and women’s cardiovascular health.
She currently serves as Director of the Yale Heart and Vascular Clinical Research Program and of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center. Alexandra J. Lansky, MD, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, FESC, is a Cardiologist and Professor of Medicine in the section of Cardiology at the Yale School of Medicine, and affiliated with Yale-New Haven Hospital.
