Judith is a registered nurse who is retired from practice. She was affiliated with Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona, where she practiced as a nurse and mentor.
Throughout her line of work, one of Judith’s areas of expertise was geriatrics. Geriatrics is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults.

She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Arizona which she earned in 2003.
Judith is a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). The moving force behind the work of the ADA is a network of more than one million volunteers, a membership of more than 500,000 people with diabetes, their families and caregivers, a professional society of nearly 14,000 health care professionals, as well as more than 800 staff members.
Judith is also a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). The AADE is an interdisciplinary professional membership organization dedicated to improving prediabetes, diabetes, and cardiometabolic care through innovative education, management, and support.
Judith attributed her years of success in nursing to her passion for her profession and her love for working with veterans. She considered it to be an honor to take care of them.
A registered nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties. In addition to the primary role in treating and caring for patients, their responsibilities also include educating patients and the public about a variety of medical conditions, as well as providing emotional support and advice to the families of their patients. Other RN job functions include performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering medications, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and assisting with patient rehabilitation and follow-up.
Judith took time from work to care for her father before he passed away and currently, she is caring for her mother, who is in her 90s, and her disabled brother.
