He is the Founder of Dr. Burke Orthopedics with offices in Pearland and Houston, Texas.

Following his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia in 1983, Dr. Burke went on to complete medical school at the same educational venue in 1987. Years later, in 1992, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio.

Before long, he became board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. He also earned a certificate in orthopedic sports medicine. 

With his years of experience and impressive expertise, Dr. Burke has written multiple publications and abstracts and gives several presentations about orthopedic medicine. In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the Alamo Orthopedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Texas Orthopedic Association, the Texas Society of Sports Medicine,  and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
