S. Sherry Nealon, MD, a Radiologist with Mercy Imaging Centers
Dr. Nealon has been practicing diagnostic radiology in Sacramento, California since 2000. She provides general radiological services at Mercy Imaging Centers. She has been a long time advocate of access to higher education and serves as the medical director of the Diagnostic Sonography Program at Consumnes River College.
A service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, Mercy Imaging Centers provides its services through a group of radiologists, each of whom are highly trained, specialized professionals. In addition to caring for all patients referred to a Mercy Imaging Center, this group of doctors also provides service to the Mercy hospitals throughout the Sacramento region and Woodland. Dr. Nealon earned her medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. She then went on to complete her internship at Balboa Naval Medical Center, and served as a medical evacuation officer for the Pacific Fleet during Persian Gulf War I. Dr. Nealon completed her residency at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Nealon is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, which is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
