She recently taught classes in Nigeria for the State Department and local hospitals in Abuja. She co chairs the Monroe County Critical Incident Stress Management  team.(CISM)

A certified occupational health nurse-specialist (COHN-S CM ) provides health care and safety services for worker populations across a variety of settings. Duties include diagnosing and treating job-related injuries and conditions, assessing working environments to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, and training workers on proper safety procedures to prevent or respond to workplace-related health issues. It also includes training staff on the proper DOT  collection of samples. Providing training to multiple companies. The role of a COHN-S is a multi-faceted and diverse one, as these advanced nursing professionals serve as healthcare providers, safety inspectors, educators, and architects of new health and safety measures and programs. They begin their education by becoming RNs who seek graduate-level education in occupational health nursing.
