FindaTopDoc is proud to welcome Dr. Shawn K. Centers, DO, FACOP, BCIM, BCIP, to their acclaimed organization with his forthcoming publication in FindaTopDoc.. With over 23 years in practice, Dr. Centers brings to the IAHCP diverse expertise and knowledge in integrative medicine, autism,and osteopathic medicine. Dr. Centers is  a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. He has been named a “Top Pediatrician” in San Diego County, California by the International Association of Pediatricians (IAP). He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Pediatrics Council and a Lifetime member of the American Council of Pediatrics Specialists. He is a Master Herbalist and a founding diplomate of the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine (ABHIM). He currently serves patients as the medical director of The Children’s HOPE Center (Holistic, Osteopathic, Pediatric, Essential Care) in San Diego, California.

After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Centers trained in pediatrics and served as a Pediatric Chief Resident at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. He completed his Undergraduate Clinical & Teaching Fellowship in Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. He is the Lead Author in the Pediatrics Chapter of Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine a text used at over 300 medical schools worldwide, a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and at Touro University, The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, A.T. Still University, and many  of the Osteopathic colleges in the U.S. and abroad.. Additionally, Dr. Centers is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Pediatrics, and is Diplomate in Pediatrics of the National Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

In order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, Dr. Centers maintains professional memberships with the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, Osteopathic Cranial Academy,  and the American Academy of Pediatric Osteopathy.
