After moving to the United States, he completed three more residencies, including a residency in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and two residencies in vascular surgery and cardiovascular & thoracic surgery at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina. For his two fellowships in cardiovascular & thoracic surgery, he practiced at both Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
Following his education, the doctor became board-certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, which is an American surgical organization devoted to surgery of the chest.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the American Medical Association and the Orange County Medical Society. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
