Dr. Sherman, a top addiction medicine physician, is the CEO of Wellness Treasure in Florida and now in St. Louis, Missouri. Following the completion of his bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in 1982, Dr. Sherman went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1988. He then performed his residency in otolaryngology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1995. He completed a two-year fellowship in addiction medicine within the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Addiction Medicine, at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2016.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine, the Missouri State Medical Association, the Saint Louis Metropolitan Medical Society, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Age Management Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the American Laryngological, Rhinological, and Otological Society.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology, which is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships, and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.
