Dr. Lockwood is a passionate and competent dentist who, since 1997, has joyfull provided affordable and caring dental care to patients at his private practice, Kenai Dental Clinic, located in Kenai, Alaska.
Excited to treat all ages, he and his team strive to provide patients and their families with the dental care they need to reach healthy, bright smiles. They use up-to-date dental techniques and technologies to provide the best, most efficient treatment possible, including digital imaging and digital panoramic X-rays to help them diagnose dental issues and plan dental procedures.
Providing a vast array of dental services from one convenient location, Dr. Lockwood’s patients specifically seek out his services and treatment, often travelling from Kenai’s surrounding areas of Soldotna, Nikiski, Homer, Sterling, Seward, Kalifornsky, Anchor Point, Millers Landing, and Diamond Ridge.
After completing his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in University Studies from Brigham Young University in 1975, Dr. Lockwood went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 1979. Thereafter, he had the opportunity to complete additional advanced training, including a residency in oral surgery at Klinikum Nürnberg in Germany. He is also extremely proud of the time he spent as an Army Veteran, stationed at the Augsburg Germany Army base, where he retired from the prestigious rank of Major.
In an effort to further enhance his professional development, he is an elite member of several organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Commended for his outstanding contributions to the dental industry, Dr. Lockwood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience within the areas of general dentistry, family dentistry, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, dental implantology, and emergency care. Looking back at his successful career to date, he attributes his success to hard work, dedication, continuing education, and his natural desire to always put his patients’ needs first. His advice to fellow newcomers within the industry is to “take a specialty residency.”

Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Lockwood enjoys being outdoors, where he partakes in fishing – one of his favorite pastimes. He also serves as a basketball coach, which he finds to be extremely rewarding.
