Dr. Khair is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at The Carrell Clinic in Frisco and Dallas, Texas. He also serves as the Assistant Team Physician for the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks, the Team Physician for the Episcopal School of Dallas and Southern Methodist University, as well as the Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the US National Lacrosse Men’s Senior Team.
Raised in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Khair went to Bowdoin College where he played lacrosse and graduated Magna Cum Laude with majors in both Chemistry and Philosophy. He subsequently spent time at the Hastings Center in Garrison, New York where he worked for two years studying biomedical ethics prior to completing medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), ranked the best orthopaedic hospital in the country as well as the best orthopaedic residency in the country. After graduating from HSS, he was accepted to Rush University’s prestigious orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship, which is considered to be the best sports fellowship in the country.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the New York County Medical Society.
