Dr. De La Cruz was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, in the western coastal area called Mayaguez. She relocated to the United States and graduated with her Medical Degree from Loma Linda University in 2003, giving her over a decade of experience in her field. After obtaining her Medical Degree she completed her pediatric residency with the Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Dr. De La Cruz is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. To stay up to date in her field she remains a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She currently practices with The Kaiser San Bernardino Area Medical Center and holds medical privileges several other facilities within the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group.

When not working, Dr. De La Cruz is very involved with the operations of Global Outreach for Kids Foundation and non-profit organization she founded and is currently leading. She also enjoys traveling, camping and participating in outdoor sports.
