Dr. Lobe completed his undergraduate degree at The George Washington University where he graduated majoring in zoology. Furthering his education he graduated Cum Laude with his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1975, giving him over four decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his surgical internship and general surgery residency, where he was chief resident with the Ohio State University Hospital. Wanting to further his training he completed his Pediatric Surgery fellowship with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Lobe has multiple from certifications, including from the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Surgery, American Board of Laser Surgery, American Board of Medical Hypnosis, and the American Board of Medical Acupuncture. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Chemical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, American Academy of Medical Hypnosis, American Society for Bariatric Surgery, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He has been the recipient of both the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Doctor J. Edmund Bradley Prize for Excellence in Pediatrics from The University of Maryland School of Medicine.
His military service includes being a Commander of the Medical Corps and the Head of the Department of General Surgery for the Fleet Hospital. Dr. Lobe develop and lead the first pediatric surgery residency-training program in the Mid-South with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. During his 20 years in Memphis he trained over 40 surgeons from both the United States and around the world
Dr. Lobe currently practices with his private practice Regeneveda. He is also a Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He holds an expertise in Regenerative Medicine, Anti-aging, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Functional Medicine, Minimally Invasive, and Robotic Pediatric Surgery.
When not working, Dr. Lobe enjoys fishing sailing, and traveling.
