Licensed to practice medicine in several states, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. Interventional pain management or interventional pain medicine is a medical subspecialty which treats pain with invasive interventions such as facet joint injections, nerve blocks, neuroaugmentation, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, nucleoplasty, endoscopic discectomy, and implantable drug delivery system. As an interventional pain management physician, Dr. Farah focuses on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of pain.
Among his philanthropic endeavours, he went on a humanitarian mission to Ecuador, in collaboration with Hands Across the World, to help treat patients with congenital deformities.
