As part of the neurosurgery team at UMass Memorial, he uses today’s most advanced technology and techniques to treat the full range of neurological disorders, from the routine to the most complex. He can be found on staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, UMass Memorial at Milford, and UMass Memorial HealthAlliance – Clinton Hospital, Leominster Campus.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Natarajan serves as an Assistant Professor within the Neurological Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. There, he also serves as the Director of Open Vascular & Endovascular Neurosurgery, and as the Director of Skull Base Neurosurgery and Cranial Microsurgery.
After graduating with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Madurai Medical College in India in 2000, Dr. Natarajan relocated to the United States. Once there, he served his residencies in neurological surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute -St. Joseph Hospital and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He then completed a fellowship in endovascular surgery at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, followed by an additional fellowship in cerebrovascular & skull base neurosurgery at the University of Washington.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Association of Surgeons of India.
Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, often by performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, cervical and lumbar disc disease, infections, and head or spinal cord injuries.
