A year later, he became board-certified in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, a American surgical organization devoted to surgery of the chest.
In order to stay up to date in his field, the doctor remains a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). In 2016, he became board-certified in surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery.
