Headache medicine quickly became Dr. Thronaum’s passion as she, time and time again, witnessed the burden and impact people with headache disorders are confronted with. From there, she went on to complete her internship and residency at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Subsequent to her training, she attained board certification in neurology through the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in disorders of the nervous system (neurologists) and to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders (psychiatrists).
In order to remain up to date in her field, Dr. Thronaum maintains a professional membership with the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, the National Headache Foundation, the International Headache Society, and the American Interventional Headache Society.
