Dr. Kenneth Smith is a highly experienced and acclaimed ophthalmologist who has been in practice for more than 21 years. His medical career started in 1997 when he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He then completed an internship at Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia, followed by a residency at the University of Louisville again.
Dr. Smith is board certified by the American Board of Opthalmology, and he diagnoses and treats a wide range of eye-related conditions for patients of all ages. These include glaucoma, cataracts, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, eye cancer and diseases of the cornea. He is especially renowned for his expertise in LASIK eye surgery, and he has successfully performed more than 18,000 LASIK operations.
Dr. Smith is committed to keeping up to date with the latest advances in his field, and he is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology.
