Get to know Dentist Dr. Kristi Parker, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Parker is a pediatric dentist with a heart for children. She opened Park Dentistry for Kids to help Houston children with their dental needs in a fun and nurturing environment.
She and her team will show patients a positive experience while providing quality dental care, will teach them how to take care of themselves through exciting lessons on oral health, and will be there for them throughout growth into young adulthood and beyond. Dr. Parker has also included Flossy, an emotional support dog, as a vital team member.
Born and raised in Dallas, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science at Texas A&M University and then proceeded to complete her Master of Science degree at Texas Woman’s University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she received the Professionalism and Integrity Award for her dental school class and the Ninth District Dental Society Collegiality Award for her commitment to ethics and professionalism.
After completing dental school, Dr. Parker worked as a general dentist in a family practice. Her love for working with children motivated her to complete a dental residency program in pediatric dentistry with a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and then open her own dental practice.
Prior to attending dental school, she worked as a Registered Dietitian. She continues to have a passion for nutrition and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. This passion helps her to encourage and motivate her patients and their families to reach their oral health goals.
Attributing her success to her passion for helping others, Dr. Parker remains an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Houston Association of Pediatric Dentists.
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry focusing on children from birth through adolescence. A pediatric dentist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the dental problems in these children. Dr. Parker has specialized training for children with special needs as well.
Among her philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Parker is a supporter of Houston Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Give Kids a Smile.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, staying active, and volunteering for a variety of organizations.
