Dr. Dominguez has held faculty positions in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California in San Diego, the University of New Mexico and at Emory University in Atlanta. She currently practices as a Reproductive Endocrinologist with Pacific In Vitro Fertilization Institute, in which she is also a co-director. Pacific In Vitro is led by a team of 4 board certified physicians with decades of experience in IVF, reproductive endocrinology, fertility and OB/GYN. Together, the physicians, laboratory director, nurses, office and lab staff work closely together to ensure the highest level of individualized care for you. Dr. Dominguez is dual certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s mission is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Dr. Dominguez graduated with her Medical Degree from the George Washington University in 1987, giving her over three decades of experience in her field. After obtaining her medical degree she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency with the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Furthering her training she completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.
To stay up to date in her field she remains a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Reproductive endocrinology and infertility is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside infertility.
