He then earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1978. He completed a surgical internship at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center.
His urological training and degree were obtained at New York University Medical Center. This included training at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in urologic oncology and advanced training in sexual dysfunction.
With years of experience, Dr. Gutman is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to insure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the New York County Medical Society.
