She then relocated to the United States, completing her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1986, where she is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics. She also completed additional training, which included a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Austin State Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
