Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio was established in 1978 and has grown into one of the largest private GI practices in Texas. In Africa, more specifically Nigeria, Dr. Omoyeni graduated with her medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, College of Health Sciences in 2007. She then proceeded to Glasgow, Scotland where she obtained a Master of Public Health degree, emerging with honors and as the best graduating student.
After relocating to the United States in 2012, she completed her residency in internal medicine at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is where she also served as a third-year Chief Resident in 2015. During her residency program, she received numerous awards, including an award from the American Cancer Society for appropriate screening and detection of a patient with skin cancer. Her fellowship in gastroenterology was completed at Harlem Hospital Center in affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center in 2018.
Specializing in issues relating to the digestive tract, she is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In direct affiliation with her industry, Dr. Omoyeni is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young daughters, and extended family. She also enjoys reading novels and hopes to travel the world someday.
