Dr. Berenbaum has been practicing gastroenterology and hepatology in the greater Philadelphia area for over twenty-five years. He tends to patients at his private practice in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.

Furthering his training, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in gastroenterology at  Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Specializing in issues relating to the digestive tract, he is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Maintaining professional competence, Dr. Berenbaum is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), and a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (FAGA). 

Additionally, he is a member of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, the Delaware Valley Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Berenbaum serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine.
