Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County was established in 1969 and has been serving communities in Fairfield County and the nearby greater New York City area for over 50 years. During this time, it has grown to become the largest private cardiology group in Connecticut, and among the largest in the NYC Metro area. It now has 21 physicians, 12 nurse practitioners, and 8 physician assistants providing care at its multiple locations.
Their team has privileges to provide care at St. Vincent’s Medical Center (Bridgeport), Norwalk Hospital, Stamford Hospital and Griffin Hospital. In addition, there are seven offices located throughout Fairfield County to provide convenient access for outpatient visits and diagnostic testing.
Their mission is to provide their patients with convenient access to “world class” quality cardiac health care services. They utilize the latest technology while providing compassionate care designed to meet each patient’s individual needs.
Robert D. Jumper, MD
A board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist, Dr. Jumper specializes in coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, congestive heart failure, and valvular heart disease.
The doctor obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Iona College in 1989, and graduated with his medical degree from the New York Medical College in 1997. He went on to complete his residency at the Jacobi Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000, and completed two consecutive fellowships at the Montefiore Medical Center in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), he is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, nuclear medicine, adult echocardiography, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Jared G. Selter, MD
Graduating magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree from Union College, Dr. Selter completed his medical education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at the Yale New Haven Hospital, and his fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Yale School of Medicine.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, nuclear medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), he is a proud member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He serves as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Joseph J. Tiano, MD
An established cardiologist, Dr. Tiano’s professional interests include pacemaker, defibrillator (ICD), and loop recorder implants; resynchronization (biventricular) implants; leadless pacemaker (Micra) implants; left atrial appendage closure (Watchman) implants; arrhythmia management including catheter ablation; atrial fibrillation; supraventricular tachycardia (SVT); premature ventricular contractions (PVC) and ventricular tachycardia (VT).
With a broad educational background, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College in 1999. He completed two residencies at the Temple University School of Medicine and at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2003 and 2006, followed by fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology at the Boston Medical Center in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
