She then went on to complete her internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in endocrinology and clinical metabolism at the University of Tennessee Affiliated Hospitals.
As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in endocrinology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
