A trusted addiction medicine specialist, Dr. Law has practiced addiction medicine as an independent contractor in California, working at some of the most well-known addiction treatment centers in the state, including the Betty Ford Clinic. From 2008 to 2012, she also served as a visiting professor of Health Sciences at DeVry University. In 2013, she became an addictionologist at Providence Regional Medical Center, before joining Adventist Health Clear Lake in 2014.

Academically, Dr. Law received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica in 2006 after receiving undergraduate degrees in genetics and comparative pathology. After completing her residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and serving as Chief Resident in Preventive Medicine and Occupational Medicine, she went on to earn her Master of Public Health degree and completed a fellowship in addiction medicine at the same educational venue.
Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in addiction medicine by the American College of Preventive Medicine, which is an American physicians’ organization focused on practice, research, publication, and teaching of evidence-based preventive medicine.
Addiction medicine is a medical subspecialty that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and recovery of persons with addiction, of those with substance-related and addictive disorders, and of people who show unhealthy use of substances including alcohol, nicotine, prescription medicine and other illicit and licit drugs.
